Myofascial Yin
"Touch one part of the myofascial web and you change the tension of the whole system. The site of pain is rarely the source of the problem"
John F. Barnes

Myofascial Yin
Myofascial Yin combines the quiet, restorative practice of Yin Yoga with gentle myofascial release techniques to help soften areas of tension and create greater freedom in the body.
At Anahata Holistic Wellness in Parkhurst, Myofascial Yin offers a slow, mindful practice that invites you to connect with your body, release physical holding and settle the nervous system.
What is Myofascial Yin?
Myofascial Yin combines longer-held Yin Yoga poses with the use of massage balls and other gentle tools to work with the fascia — the connective tissue network that surrounds and supports the body.
The practice creates space to explore areas of tightness and restriction before settling into stillness, allowing the body to gradually soften and release.
Why practise Myofascial Yin?
Regular Myofascial Yin may support:
-
Fascial mobility and flexibility
-
Release of muscular tension
-
Improved body awareness
-
Greater ease of movement
-
Relaxation and nervous system regulation
-
Relief from feelings of tightness and restriction
-
A deeper sense of calm and connection
Myofascial Yin is not about pushing deeper. It is about creating space, listening to your body and allowing release to happen gently, in its own time.
