Yin Yoga
"Yin Yoga is the practise of surrender, or letting go of our need to control and manipulate"
Bernie Clark

Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative style of yoga that invites you to move away from constant effort and into stillness.
At Anahata Holistic Wellness in Parkhurst, Yin Yoga creates space to explore the body, breath and mind gently.
What is Yin Yoga?
Unlike more dynamic styles of yoga, Yin Yoga involves holding mostly passive poses for several minutes at a time.
The practice works with deeper connective tissues, including fascia, ligaments and joints, while encouraging relaxation and mindful awareness.
Why practise Yin Yoga?
Regular Yin Yoga may support:
-
Flexibility and mobility
-
Body awareness
-
Relaxation
-
Stress reduction
-
A sense of calm and stillness
-
Greater awareness of breath and sensation
Yin is not about how far you can stretch. It is about learning to listen.
